BOOKS AND PROJECTS
I have finished two mystery short stories featuring Alexander before he was “Great” and his friend/lover, Hephaestion. A Death in Pella will be submitted to an anthology by the end of the year and the second short story, A Death in Corinth, is ready for publication once I get the hang of what to do with a mystery short story. A third short story, A Death in Athens, is currently percolating in my brain. I need to research more on 4th century B.C. philosophers and philosophy. Yay! Research!
The first book in my Geek Girls Trilogy, Of Love and Cosplay, is just waiting on funds for a book cover and a set of ISBN numbers. Book two, A Renaissance Affaire, is currently in the first editing stage after being reviewed by an independent editor. Book three has finally been hashed out and I just need the brain power to write it.
They feature three women whose love of sewing has brought them to three different geekdoms: cosplay, Renaissance Faires, and vintage clothes to wear to Beatle tribute band concerts. Of Love and Cosplay features Robin Jamison and Greg Ruskin hitting the ultimate cosplay convention in the U.S. Can they pull off the costumes of the year while falling in love with each other and dealing with family drama? A Renaissance Affaire deals with Meghan Heyer and Henry Weir in a Tudor setting at the local Renaissance Faire. Unluckily for Meghan she loved and left Henry and doesn’t remember it. Henry’s got a grudge that he sets aside when it becomes clear that Meghan has more issues than her poor outlook on love and men. And finally, Autumn McGuire and Doyle Matthews fall in love to the Beatles while Autumn makes Doyle’s tribute band’s costumes. Title is tentatively Confessions of a Beatlemaniac.
I am also currently reviewing the first four books of my Order of Alexander series, trying to decide what to do with them as well. Book five of the series, set in contemporary times, ends the centuries-old hunt by the Order of Alexander for the remains of the great conqueror. I also have two historical series percolating around on my computer that refuse to go away but also refuse to do anything more than percolate like day-old coffee. How’s THAT for a visual!
Some of you may have noticed I’ve taken down the purchase link to the first Matchmaking Miuty short story. I’ve pulled it off Amazon and am considering printing the two short stories together that I have completed as little free giveaways when I finally do get something published.
